Introduction

The ¡§ Exhibition of Secondary School Students' Creative Visual Arts Work (2006-07 )¡¨ is held by the Arts Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute, Education and Manpower Bureau from 28 December 2006 to 24 February 2007 at Room WP01, Podium, West Block of the Education and Manpower Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre.

The exhibition aims at providing an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity and artistic ability in visual arts creations, and promoting educational communication among students, teachers and the public. This year, more than 500 pieces of artwork are on exhibition. These exhibits have been selected from about 1,500 entries submitted by 150 secondary schools. The artworks cover different topics, and a wide range of art forms and media, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics and design.

To recognise students' accomplishments in visual arts creations, a judging panel comprising arts educators and artists has been set up to select outstanding artworks from the displayed individual entries. The selection criteria include creativity, manipulation of technique and media, and communication. This year, more than 200 pieces of exhibits have been selected as outstanding artworks. They are posted on this webpage for the public's appreciation.
