The “Beijing–Hong Kong School Dialogue Programme” is a cross-cultural, cross-border and cross-discipline initiative sponsored and initiated by Li Ka Shing Foundation and Cheung Kong Centre for Creative Industries of the Law School of Shantou University, and co-organized by the Education and Manpower Bureau, HKSAR, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and the Ministry of Education. It aims to offer Hong Kong and Beijing students more opportunities to broaden their knowledge base, and enhance their critical thinking abilities on social and global issues in multiple perspectives, through videoconference with worldwide celebrities or local experts. Four events have been held since 2005.
