Objectives of the Sharing Session : |
• To celebrate participants' achievements in promoting the development of the English subject in their schools• To enhance participants' capability of using data and evidence to evaluate work effectiveness and promote continuous self-improvement |

Objectives of the Workshop : |
Through exploring the topic 'Evaluation and Planning of the English Subject', we aimed to develop the following curriculum leadership capabilities among participants:• using data effectively to identify the development focuses of the English subject• proposing concrete and workable actions for effective implementation of the subject plan• establishing monitoring and/or evaluation mechanisms to ensure the subject plan can be implemented successfully• using resources effectively and/or strategically to enhance implementation of the subject plan |

• Identifying targets through using data• Identifying concrete measures which align closely with the targets set• Defining success criteria (realistic, concrete, achievable, measurable and aligning with the objectives/ targets)• Establishing monitoring and/or evaluation mechanisms by using relevant evaluation methods and tools and stating the timeline for different tasks• Using resources e.g. time, human resources, teaching resources effectively and strategically to facilitate the implementation of the plan |

Discussion:• What can the panel head do to sustain the subject plan?• What monitoring and evaluating measures can be set?• How to use resources (esp. human) effectively and strategically?• How to help the panel members see the importance of the subject plan? On what occasions can the subject plan be shared?Role play:• Role playing a scene of a panel meeting to show how the panel head could help the members translate the subject plan into successful actions |
