R & D Background
Although the teachers had been working hard to raise the studentsˇ¦ literacy levels, they all felt that studentsˇ¦ writing was not accurately reflecting the amount of effort that both teachers and students were putting into developing this complex skill. In order to explore other possibilities and develop richer insights into the teaching of writing, the teachers joined the Primary Literacy Network of the Education Bureauˇ¦s Language Learning Support Section. They hoped that through the professional exchanges afforded by participation in this Network, they might be able to devise and implement more effective practices and so improve their studentsˇ¦ writing skills. |
