Comparative Study of the Mathematics Curricula of Major Asian and Western Countries

The research was commissioned to the University of Hong Kong by the Education Department
in response to the need for a review and possible reform in the mathematics curriculum in Hong Kong .  In the research, the mathematics curricula in major Asian and Western countries were compared and analysed.  The research was commenced in May 1998 and completed in April 1999.
