Learning Community of “PE KLA–Catering for Learner Diversity”
Physical education, which is “education through the physical”, is a key learning experience of students. Students are varied on their abilities, motives, needs, interest and potentials in PE. In catering for learner diversity, teachers should understand the diverse needs of their students and to adopt different teaching modes and strategies and develop suitable learning tasks and activities, in order to provide equal opportunities for students with SEN in participation and learning in PE.
Learning Community of “PE KLA – Catering for Learner Diversity” has been established with its aims to enhance teachers’ understanding and teaching effectiveness on catering the learner diversity and difficulties of students with SEN in PE, by sharing good practices from schools through professional exchange activities, e.g. network meetings, lesson observation and professional development programmes.
