Since the announcement of the Fine-tuning of the MOI Policy in 2009, schools have been working to find ways to maximise their students' exposure to English by modifying their teaching arrangements to include more classes taught in the medium of English. In order to support schools in developing their plans regarding the medium of instruction, the Education Bureau set aside funds for schools to refine the measures they had developed under the English Enhancement Scheme to cater specifically for the implementation of the MOI fine-tuning. This proved to be a catalyst for many schools, including those which had a history of teaching in the medium of English, to review their practices and introduce new measures to meet the needs of students and teachers. This article shows how a school with a long-established practice of teaching in English made use of the opportunity to develop a more coordinated approach to the issue of Language across the Curriculum. Teachers from different subject areas worked together to identify ways to improve students' performance and to share insights into students' difficulties. This approach enabled teachers to benefit from each others' expertise and ensured that students could experience similar approaches to language reinforcement in each subject area.
