The implementation of e-learning requires not only a paradigm shift but also a lot of preparation work such as teacher development and exploration of e-resources and e-learning tools. Since teachers’ readiness for and confidence in implementing e-learning varied, a core group of teachers was formed to take up the role of pioneers. The core group was composed of the English panel head, the assistant panel head and a teacher with experience in e-learning. They were responsible for teacher development and promoting e-learning tryouts at different levels.
2.Adopting a progressive approach
To promote e-learning progressively, the school adopted the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition) model developed by Dr Ruben Puentedura. The four-tier model shows how technology can be integrated with learning and teaching according to the learning objectives set for students and the level of teachers’ readiness.

Modification
Technology allows for significant project or task redesign.
Use Google Docs to write an
