Objectives of the Sharing Session :

• To enhance participants' capability of using data and evidence to evaluate work effectiveness and promote continuous self-improvement

• To celebrate participants' achievement in promoting the development of the English subject in their school

• To share ideas on how to prepare for the implementation of the updated ELE KLA Curriculum Guide (CG)

Objectives of the Workshop :

• To identify the features of effective meetings

• To explore core skills that enhance meeting effectiveness.

• To explore how meetings can be used strategically to implement the major concerns of the subject/school

CLD schools shared their ideas on implementing the updated Curriculum Guide

• How to make use of the PEEG/additional resources?

• What experiences does each school possess in implementing the initiatives/emphases of the CG?

• How can sharing of resources/experiences and inter-school collaboration be facilitated?

• Curriculum leaders reflected on the meetings they attended or held and identified features of bad and good meetings.

• Curriculum leaders should make every meeting a valuable platform for professional learning, consensus building, sharing, collaboration and/or celebration.

Mr Edward Yim from Chiu Yang Por Yen Primary School shared how meetings can be strategically used for holistic planning of the English subject.

3:15 pm - 3:45 pm

Mrs Vivian Poon of United Christian College shared how to make use of co-planning meetings to ensure teachers implement e-learning to address school and subject major concerns.

Curriculum leaders explored ways to work with people with difficult personality types in order to achieve the purposes of different meeting scenarios.
