Introducing Kotter's Change Model (Steps 7-8) and how staff recruitment, deployment, development and appraisal could create opportunities for implementing and sustaining change at school

 Explaining the steps to recruit new staff
 Sharing tips on how to use SWOT effectively to identify a school's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

Part 3: Staff deployment
 
 Introducing the Hersey-Blanchard model to stress the importance of situational leadership when delegating duties
 Using real-life examples from Baptist (Sha Tin Wai) Lui Ming Choi Primary School to illustrate how the Panel Head delegated duties in the panel effectively
 Providing an opportunity for participants of the CLD programme to discuss how they would delegate the task of setting exam papers

Part 4: Staff development
 
Sharing a case on how the curriculum leaders in Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing Secondary School drew up and implemented their school-based staff development plan to manage the curriculum change on e-learning

 Analysing some common causes of the difficulties/problems encountered when doing staff appraisals and exploring coping strategies
 Observing a simulated meeting and identifying the skills/strategies the appraiser used to conduct an effective appraisal meeting

 Recapping how the staff recruitment-deployment-development-appraisal cycle could be treated as an integral management process to inform school and subject planning
