Objectives

This support service aims to:

  • establish a professional platform for curriculum leaders to discuss curriculum matters in response to the ongoing renewal of the school curriculum at the primary level; and
  • enable curriculum leaders to promote learning and reading across the curriculum in support of “Healthy Lifestyle”, one of the learning goals of primary education

Foci of Support

  • Strengthen cross-curricular learning and reading across the curriculum for promoting “Healthy Lifestyle” and balanced physical and mental development
  • Enhance curriculum leadership and inspire teachers with pedagogical insights through professional development activities, including collaborative lesson planning and observation, cluster gatherings, and cross-school exchange and sharing
  • Foster a collegial culture of knowledge co-construction, transfer, and reflection on learning and teaching, with emphasis on effective and sustainable school curriculum development
  • Enhance curriculum planning and pedagogical design in response to school development needs through on-site meetings

Target Members

  • Each school can nominate two English Language curriculum leaders such as the Panel Chairperson(s)

Meeting Time

  • Tuesday afternoons (8-10 meetings in a school year)
