Case 1
Infusing life planning education into the school-based English Language curriculum
 
Life planning education supports students' whole-person development and lifelong learning and is an integral part of the holistic school curriculum. The English teachers of Ho Ngai College (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen) and Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No. 2 shared how they coherently infused life planning education into their school-based English Language curricula to equip students with life planning skills and provide them with work-related experiences inside and outside the classroom.

Case 2
Empowering students to become active learners through meaningful learning experiences
 
The teachers of Christian Alliance Cheng Wing Gee College shared how they used various strategies to engage their students in authentic problem-solving tasks and meaningful learning experiences. During the process, students could learn and use English, and develop their creativity, collaboration skills and problem-solving skills. In addition, the activities successfully boosted students’ English learning motivation and stretched their potentials.

Case 3
Nurturing students' 21st century skills through integrating English into STEM Education
 
The teachers of Tak Sun Secondary School shared how they developed a STEM project through integrating English into cross-curricular planning to strengthen not only students' ability to integrate and apply knowledge and strategies, but also to nurture their 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity. Through the experiential learning process, students went through the create-text-reflect trials, and were able to apply their literacy skills to construct knowledge, develop their generic skills and nurture positive values and attitudes which facilitate their development as lifelong learners.
