Physical Education - Sharing on Good Practices in PE - Mass Exercise (1/2004)

Background:

1.

Mass Exercise is conducted in schools with large numbers of students participating in light exercise together. The exercise may be done in the morning, during the change of class period or after school.

2.

The Collaborative Research and Development Project (Seed Project)-'Development of Mass Exercise in Schools' was completed. Nine schools have developed their school-based Mass Exercises after considering the needs of students, expertise of teachers, as well as background of school.

3.

The project has generated very positive feedback from schools.

ObjectiveˇG

1.

To disseminate good practices in planning, implementing and evaluating Mass Exercise.

2.

To disseminate the findings of the Seed Project 'Development of Mass Exercise in Schools'.

3.

To provide a discussion forum for experience exchange and sharing in Mass Exercise.
