The positive findings and feedback from the students on this project supported the view that students can be exposed to authentic articles and be encouraged to think critically at all levels as long as quality input is provided and the challenge level of the activities designed is attainable to the target students.
The spirit of the New Academic Structure aims at nurturing the capabilities of our students to think independently and conduct life-long learning. In order to help our students to achieve this, it is never too early to formally introduce our students to the skills and strategies that can help them to acquire information from reading materials that may be beyond their reading levels and make constant judgments on the credibility of such information.
