— Adobe Flash Player

1. Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3/4
2. SUSE 9 或以上
3. Windows NT
4. Windows 2000
5. Windows 2003

2. PHP version below 5 (建議php-4.3或以上)

For implementing / preparing SLP, schools may opt to purchase, develop or adapt their own tools/ systems to manage student data such us “Other Learning Experiences” (OLE) data and generate the school-based SLP report. The following tools/ systems / resources are for schools’ reference.

(I) WebSAMS Modification for SLP

In order to assist schools to implement the SLP for NSS, the WebSAMS has been enhanced to add a ‘SLP module’. The new module has been released on 14 Feb 2008. Templates are provided for schools’ reference. Schools may upgrade their systems accordingly if necessary. The content of SLP may include brief information of:

  • Academic performance in school;
  • Other Learning Experiences;
  • Performance / awards and key participation outside school
  • Student’s ‘Self-Account’

After all, there are indeed many management systems/ tools available in the market for schools’ purchase or reference.

(II) Collaborative Research and Development (“seed”) project

A Collaborative Research and Development (“seed”) project, namely “School-based models in organising OLE and SLP in senior secondary curriculum”, has been conducted from 2005/06-2007/08 school year. In order to meet the needs of the seed project, the following tools are designed for research, development and reference purpose.

e-Profile (Prototype One) (for senior secondary students)

The “e-Profile (Prototype One)” is a profile tool designed specifically for senior secondary students not only to record and reflect on their own participation and learning across a range of learning activities and experiences (subject and non-subject) in the New Senior Secondary Curriculum, but to recognize students participation and achievement of their whole person development through generating a student learning profile by using this tool / system.

This tool aims to include the following functions:

  • Students could use the system to generate a SLP to recognize their participation and achievement
  • Interface for necessary data transfer from the WebSAMS
  • Assisting students to manage and record their participation and learning across a wide range of learning activities and experiences (subject and non-subject). Encourage students’ reflection and planning their own learning
  • Enhancing the interaction (including teacher feedbacks) between teachers (esp. form teachers) and students

Teachers could browse the tool by using the 'guest account' for reference. For enquiry, please contact Mr. Ko at 2892 6437 or by mail at amberko@edb.gov.hk

Technical requirement:

— Internet Explorer version 6.0 or above ( with ActiveX control and components enabled)

eFolio for Learning (for junior secondary students)

In order to cultivate students reflective habits of mind in their personal development, ‘e-Folio for Learning’, a learning resource, is specially designed for junior secondary students who will be encouraged to build their Student Learning Profile (SLP) under the senior secondary education. It consists of the following functions:

  • Assisting students to manage and record their participation and learning across a wide range of learning activities and experiences (subject and non-subject).
  • Enhancing the interaction between teachers (esp. form teachers) and students
  • Encouraging sharing culture among students upon their ‘learning life’
  • Nurturing reflective culture in schools for promoting whole person development

Strictly speaking, ‘e-Folio for Learning’ is NOT a SLP tool.

Teachers could browse the tool for reference by using the 'guest account'. For enquiry, please contact Mr. Ko at 2892 6437 or by mail at amberko@edb.gov.hk

Technical requirement:

— Internet Explorer version 6.0 or above ( with ActiveX control and components enabled)
