III. Characteristics of the module design
The TBL approach is adopted to help students learn English language skills in an integrated manner, as opposed to the skill-based approach commonly used at senior secondary levels.
The Short Stories elective module is designed as an extension to the core, providing a platform for students to apply the knowledge learned in the core.
There are motivating materials and careful scaffolding tasks to support students who are less proficient in English.
Teacher development is fostered in the process of curriculum planning.
