Information about expertise:  Mr Barny Lam, English Panel Chairperson of Ying Wa College, possesses substantial experience in adopting assessment as learning practices to develop students’ self-directed learning and sharpen their reading and writing skills. He is also competent in catering for the diverse needs of students, especially stretching the potentials of the high achievers through engaging them in a variety of meaningful and challenging activities.

Information about expertise:  Ms Lilian Law is the English Panel Chairperson of Yaumati Catholic Primary School (Hoi Wang Road). She possesses substantial experience in employing a variety of strategies to foster Key Stage two students' self-directed learning of vocabulary building strategies. Through designing a self-directed vocabulary learning portfolio for students to practise the target vocabulary building strategies, using a variety of modes to assess students' learning of vocabulary, and harnessing appropriate e-tools to maximize their learning time to develop vocabulary power, students have developed solid vocabulary building skills and motivation to learn vocabulary more independently.

Information about expertise:  Mr Ken Ho and Ms Janetta Man of Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing Secondary School used a variety of e-tools effectively to help students develop language skills and enhance formative assessment in school. Students were encouraged to produce and publish multimodal texts. The English Subject also provided support in promoting STEM education in the school by incorporating the aquaponics system (a school facility) into an S2 unit on 'Going Green' to develop students' presentation skills in preparing them for STEM-related competitions.
