Clear direction and focus of school development with strategic planning have facilitated the implementation of different measures at this school. For instance, a three-year plan was formulated to give teachers a clear direction on cross-curricular collaboration and planning of different KLAs.
Setting up the LAC committee with key subject panel heads has provided a platform frontier-departmental collaboration.
Identifying appropriate entry points such as vocabulary building, use of knowledge structures and the development of students’ reading skills and writing skills has enabled teachers to infuse English into the subject content and develop students’ academic literacy.
Rendering support from students helpers allows greater flexibility for teachers to use different ways to organize cross-curricular activities in school.
