The work in the following stages aimed at increasing understanding of the characteristics of dyslexic students and their problems and building up the capacity of teachers in designing appropriate teaching materials and strategies.

  1. Diagnosis - Identifying the specific weaknesses of students in English learning and focussing on students who display typical features of dyslexia
  2. Modification - Changing tasks or expected learning outcomes to cater for the student's individual learning needs
  3. Remediation- Using strategies to help students improve their language skills and ability to learn.

  • Keep student learning portfolios to monitor their progress
  • Record and file student work such as worksheets, exercises, audio/video taped performance, and specify the type of problem to be addressed
  • Discuss student learning problems and devise appropriate techniques among fellow teachers
  • Adjust learning packages and strategies of accommodation, modification, and remediation
