The life-wide learning activities were very well-received by students. They provided valuable opportunities to increase students’ motivation, give relevance to learning, develop employability skills and help them make informed decisions about their future education, training or employment pathways.
The school would like to sustain the positive experiences by addressing the following aspects:
Refining the junior secondary curriculum so as to create more lesson time for students to be exposed to a greater variety of jobs and be familiarised with the knowledge and information about the job market.
Promoting life planning at an early stage through collaboration and coordination with other subject committees or the careers team in school to help students develop the knowledge and skills needed for making career choices and managing their transition from school to the workplace in the future.
