「全方位學習」行動小錦囊 Life-wide Learning Action Kit

Introduction 前言

Life-wide Learning is a strategy that aims to move student learning beyond the classroom into other learning contexts.  It requires teachers to make good use of resources and setting available at their schools and in the communities, in order to create suitable learning contexts (combinations of time, place and people) for particular educational purposes.  Such experiential learning enables students to achieve certain learning goals that are difficult to attain through classroom learning so that the aims of whole person development and life-long learning could be achieved.

At the very beginning of planning a LWL programme or activity, as a professional teacher, you should think very carefully or discuss with your colleagues that:

  1.  Do we really need to conduct this programme / activity?

  2. What the objectives that you want the students to achieve through this LWL experience?

  3. Will the learning opportunities enable students to achieve certain learning goals that are more difficult to attain through classroom learning alone?

  4. Will the students understand why they should learn these and learn in this way?

  5. How does the programme / activity link with the student learning in the school curriculum?

Without careful consideration before the first step of planning, the programme / activity will never come to success! So, stop and think before you take any actions!

 

全方位學習是把學習空間,從課室拓展到其他環境中的策略。透過教師靈活地利用多樣化的環境和社區資源,配合時、地、人各方面所組成的學習情境,讓學生獲得一般在課堂上難以體會的經驗,藉此達至全人發展以及終身學習的目的。

作為專業老師,在開始設計全方位學習項目或活動的時候,應該細心考慮或與同事討論:

  1. 是否真的需要進行這個項目/活動?

  2. 你希望學生透過這次全方位經驗能達到什麼目標?

  3. 這個學習機會,能否讓學生達到在課堂上難以達到的特定學習目標

  4. 學生會不會明白為什麼他們要學這些,與及為什麼要這樣學?

  5. 項目/活動如何能夠和學校課程連繫起來?  

如果在初步計劃之前不好好細心考慮的話,項目/活動就肯定無法成功!所以,在作出任何行動之前,請先停下來想一想!

  2. A careful planning is the crucial step leading to successful activities.

  3. A meaningful LWL activity not only could meet what our pupils’ need, but also harmonize with the holistic arrangement of the school-based curriculum.

  4. Conducting LWL activities may prove difficult at the beginning but will get easier at the end.  In any case, the pupils’ safety and the quality of activities should always be considered as the top priorities.
