Followed by the annual event of "Learning Symposium and Poster Presentation" held on 6 July 2013, the 3-year "Student-LED Project" on a trial basis has been successfully completed! The success of the project owes much to the sincere supports and participations of all sectors. We would like to acknowledge and extend our heartfelt gratitude to the joint organizers, Hong Kong Association of the Heads of Secondary Schools (HKAHSS) and the Center for Engineering Education Innovation (E2I) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), for their on-going professional contributions and supports in the project.
The project has received a widespread support from schools since its implementation in 2010. After three years, 542 students from 55 schools participated in the project. Many schools' good practices and students' learning stories were identified and cohered. Students acted as the active designers of the learning experiences, that further enhanced students' whole-person development by turning their experiences into learning through effective reflection, behind the stories.
For the coming up event, seminars will be held to further disseminate the schools' good practices and consolidated knowledge for promoting the "Student-LED approach" in pursuit of the future planning and implementation of quality OLE in schools, so that more students from other schools will become the designers of their learning experiences.
