Student-LED Project: Research Report 2012/13
542 students from 55 schools participated in the Student-LED
Project from the 2010/11 to 2012/13 school years. During the
implementation of the Project, many good learning stories have been
shared throughout the community. This research study has
consolidated the students’ learning outcomes and achievements in a
scientific and systemic form.
Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were adopted in this
research. Self-regulated learning, leadership for learning practices
and reflective habits were identified as important aspects for
students’ holistic development. We found that the Project had
positive impact on students’ development in these areas. We also
believe that the Student-LED approach would be beneficial to
building a learning community in schools and we encourage schools to
provide students with leadership opportunities.
We hope that this research study could draw your attention to the
Student-LED approach. You may find the details in the report.
