Project Teacher
Professional development: insight in co-construction of learning experiences

“Through this activity, I understood the actual meaning of ‘Students take the leading roles’. As a teacher, we usually focus on designing learning activities or contents that we think are suitable for students and may tend to ignore what they actually want to learn. This activity allowed students to tell me ‘What do they want to learn?’ and ‘How do they want to learn?’ In my opinion, teachers have to give students a free hand, be more confident in them and encourage them to go their own way, their own learning way! This activity helped me understand clearly that the students are capable!”

Personal development
“I have benefited a lot from this project. Also, I gained a number of experiences from the activities, such as how to get along with others and handle affairs and how to control my emotions. Meanwhile, I realized my shortcomings through the activities and improved them by cooperating with teammates. Therefore, I believe that it will be easier for me to complete any future activities.”
Multilateral thinking; Self-confidence
“The knowledge and skills acquired from this project can help us to solve problems associated with classroom learning and work in the future. For example, at present, General Studies focuses on multilateral thinking, and the knowledge acquired from the activities can help us to conduct multilateral analysis when doing coursework, while avoiding arbitrary judgment of facts. Besides, our self-confidence developed through the activities can help us in job hunting or interviews in the future.”
