Our Reflection :
Project Teacher
Critical questioning techniques

“The project enlightened not only the core members but also the teachers. We learnt how to encourage deeper reflections through critical questioning techniques and the core members were finally able to first express verbally their own personal impact, then transfer their knowledge into new situations and finally acquire the proper attitudes and behaviors in different circumstances.”

Core Members
Self confidence
“I use to think it was hard for me to conduct speech in front of a group of people. But the project changed me a lot and the most important thing I gained is confidence. It was quite a difficult task for me to share my opinions with others, especially when I was not sure whether they would be accepted or not.”
To work independently
“In the process, I found that we did not do preparation work well. We did not find out how many new arrival children are in need, we relied on the organization to provide the new arrival children. Through the process, I learn that doing research is important for planning.”
To work as a group
“I found that people taking up the backup posts could do something which the leaders could not handle. Through this project, I knew that every post has their own significance and contribution.”
Communication
“We discovered that full and clear communication was required to achieve the mobility of information in order to run the project most efficiently.”
To promote others’ learning
“One of our objectives was to promote learning amongst student volunteers. In order to make the training more interactive, we added a discussion session so that we could know how well they had acquired the information.”
