Number of Core Students  : 8
Project Descriptions : This activity is primarily about community services provided to street sleepers. Students need successful experiences which a number of small successes add up to a big achievement in the future. If students are allowed to be the learning experience designers, they will be more motivated to learn, which will in turn deliver more positive learning outcomes. Our School encourages students to develop their potentials. This coincides with our objective to make students as deep learners.

Our Reflection :
Project Teacher
Learning is a process of co-construction
“Students provided teachers with a special experience, which allowed both parties to understand the needs of grass-root people and to engage in such special volunteer service together. Teaching and learning are mutual interactive processes. Students can also give inspiration to teachers.”
To establish a learning platform for students “The ‘Students as Learning Experience Designers (Student-LED)’ project, which provides a platform for students to acquire extracurricular knowledge and allows them to learn different skills in response to various challenges existing in society, is a very meaningful activity.”

Core Members
To learn in a challenging and supportive learning environment
“In the process of decision-making, everyone presented a different opinion. When deciding the scope of services, some participants criticized their own (my) opinion, which put the team in an awkward position possibly due to improper communication skills. From this incident, we learnt that it is necessary to care about other people’s feelings when trying to persuade them, and also learnt the importance of accepting other people’s criticism of our own opinions and their relevant suggestions.”
To learn through reflection on experiences
“Undoubtedly, it was a rather difficult task for us as we had never designed such activity on our own. I still remember that during the discussion session of the meeting, we had no skills at all and worked out a very long agenda. Nevertheless, we spent half an hour on a very simple issue. For example, we came to a halt on the issue of target participants of the activity. Without the advises and suggestions from our teachers, I believe that we would keep the discussion going. This is actually a kind of knowledge, though it seems to be a simple skill. Even though ordinary meetings are basic things, I have learnt a lot from them.”
To apply what has learnt
“I could eventually put the practical skills of writing minutes learnt in class before into practice.”
