Our Reflection :
Project Teacher
To learn to trust students; To allow students to take the lead
“I learnt to trust students through this project. Actually they have great potentials, yet they lacked opportunities. Therefore, we may try out more student-led learning activities in the future. This project was full of difficulties. We experienced both joys and sorrows in the process, but were finally able to complete the project with the support and assistance from students and teachers. It is hoped that every bit of such experiences can be the driving force behind their future learning and growth.”

Core Members
Planning; Personal development
“In this activity, I have helped many people in need and have become more concerned about the society. I have learnt a lot, such as how to innovate, how to plan activities, how to delegate tasks and allocate the time, and learnt the promotional skills. In the activity, I have enhanced communication with my teammates, which helped sharpen my skills to get along with others. Furthermore, I have gained unprecedented experience. When there is a similar activity next time, I will give a more detailed consideration. While I knew nothing in the beginning, I have experienced many things so far. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable process.”
Planning, creativity; Categorization
“In this activity, I have learnt not only how to care for the elderly and strengthen my leadership capability, but also how to plan and organize an activity systematically. During the discussion, we shared our ideas with each other and applied our creativity to categorize and integrate them in order to map out a comprehensive scheme.”
To grow through reflection
“I have learnt to reflect based on my experiences and encounters in this activity. Reflection helped me to grow, such as to develop new perspective and perception about an issue, and to become more responsive to future actions. In addition, planning district activities allowed me to learn about the society from a macroscopic view, such as realizing the serious aging population problem in the Southern District. The activity helped me to build up proper values and boost self-confidence and communication skills. The Student-LED project was significantly different from the activities that I joined before. The great freedom given by the school facilitated my better understanding of my deficiencies and self-improvement. This project made me aware of the importance of accepting others’ opinions, as synthesizing and integrating others’ opinions result in a more comprehensive and creative project.”
