Tier 2 - Stage 4 (Poster presentation)
What is poster presentation?
A poster presentation is a way to convey the evidences of students’ learning through a static and visual medium. Audiences could get a general understand of the project from the poster and students have to stand by their posters to present their learning and answer questions. This is an interactive process that creates the opportunities for dialogues focusing on learning.
The poster presentation is:
- a platform to illustrate the evidence of learning;
- a conversation starter;
- an advertisement and summary of project and learning reflection.
How does the poster presentation enhance learning?
The poster presentation created a dialogic process for critical friends and students. This was not a one-way presentation but a discussion and dialogue on learning. Such presentation was interactive and personalised. In addition, students visited two more schools to have in-depth discussion about their project and learning. Students were required to write targeted feedback to enhance the learning reflection. |
