Our Services

We empower schools to foster students' whole-person development through optimising their language curricula and enriching students' learning experiences. We help our partner schools to incorporate the following initiatives into their curriculum:

  • Digital education (including e-learning, generative AI, and Media and Information Literacy)

  • Values education (including patriotic education, national education, national security education and life education)

  • Learning/Language/Reading across the Curriculum (including in the context of supporting STEAM education)

  • Catering for learning diversity

  • Nurturing creativity in English Language Education

  • Self-directed learning

  • Assessment as learning

  • Smoother interface between key stages

  • Balanced development of language and generic skills and knowledge of language

Our section offers different types of support services to both primary and secondary schools. Below is a summary of our support services.

On-site Support

Aims
  • Empowering teachers to strengthen holistic curriculum planning to optimise English language learning and teaching
  • Nurturing curriculum leadership in teachers
  • Empowering teachers to optimise their school English Language curriculum
  • Providing a platform for professional inquiry, resource and experience sharing, and networking
Modes of support
  • Regular on-site meetings
  • Lesson study/lesson observation and post-lesson discussion
  • Professional development activities and inter-school networking activities
  • Theme-based workshops
  • Inter-school networking activities
  • 1 to 3 face-to-face/online meetings with language support officers
  • Online/flipped learning
  • End-of-year experience sharing
Expectations on participating schools
  • Schedule regular collaborative lesson planning periods for collaboration with language support officers and arrange time for professional exchange activities such as peer lesson observation
  • Identify 2-3 teachers enthusiastic about implementing curriculum initiatives
  • Ensure teacher availability for theme-based workshops, networking activities and support meetings
  • Encourage teachers to share school-based experiences and resources, and network with other like-minded professionals
